CHRISTOPHER J. RUGGIERO, CPA, CVA, CFF

Chris has been practicing accounting for over twenty-six years.

Chris’ area’s of expertise lie in the accounting and auditing sector and business taxation, with an emphasis on multi-state tax planning and compliance. He has serviced clients in a wide range of industries including government, manufacturing, construction, service, and other closely held businesses.  He has provided both audit and consulting services to not-for profit entities including those requiring a single audit under regulation A-133. In developing the Business Valuation division of the Firm, he has consulted with businesses concerning operational efficiency, internal control and growth strategy implementation, as well as succession and strategic planning. He has spear-headed the Forensic Accounting and Litigation Support Department and has testified as an expert witness in tax, accounting and general business matters. He has been a speaker at Continuing Professional Education programs approved by the American and Pennsylvania Institute of Certified Public Accountants, the Pennsylvania State Board of Accountancy and National Association of State Boards of Accountancy.

Chris received his bachelors’ degree from West Chester University in West Chester, Pennsylvania. He has earned the designation Certified Valuation Analyst (CVA) issued by the National Association of Certified Valuation Analysts, and Certified in Financial Forensics(CFF), issued by the American Institute of Certified Public Accountants. He has been awarded a Certificate of Educational Achievement in Advanced Business Valuation and Forensic Accounting, both issued by the American Institute of Certified Public Accountants.

Chris is a member of the American and Pennsylvania Institute of Certified Public Accountants, the National Association of Certified Valuation Analysts and the Association  of Certified Fraud Examiners.

Chris is involved in various community activities including volunteering his time to local charitable organizations.

CHRISTOPHER G. LONG, CPA

Chris has been practicing accounting for over twenty-three years.

Chris’ area’s of expertise lie in operational and financial leadership, with emphasis on corporate consultation, strategic planning and forecasting. He has a track record of successfully building teams that achieve results. He has experience with large public and closely-held clients in a wide range of industries, including residential and commercial real estate acquisition, development, construction and property management; financial and mortgage; investment planning; publishing; high tech, including software development and e-commerce; domestic and international manufacturing; and not for profit. Chris began his career with Price Waterhouse, and has spent the majority of his career in senior financial and operational positions. His experience as a regional Chief Financial Officer (CFO) and as a Division President for a large public company has allowed him to experience the challenges from ‘the inside’, and deal directly with corporate boards and senior management. He successfully grew his own company for 7 years specializing in ‘outsourced CFO’ service. He has developed diverse skills that have allowed him to successfully mentor senior leaders from all disciplines, coach startup organizations, plan, execute and integrate mergers and acquisitions, lead successful turnarounds, and evaluate and implement financial and operational internal control systems. He has effectively partnered with banks, equity investors and corporate treasuries to acquire funding for major capital projects.

Chris received his bachelors’ degree from The University of Notre Dame in South Bend, Indiana. He earned his CPA certificate in 1987 and has been a member of the American Institute of Certified Public Accountants and Pennsylvania Institute of Certified Public Accountants. He also is a member of the Notre Dame Irish Angels Network, mentoring, coaching and advising early stage companies.

Chris is involved in various community activities including volunteering his time in local charitable organizations. He is a CYO baseball and basketball coach; is a member of the Knights of Columbus; and has served the church in various capacities, including the Angel Tree prison ministry project.
